With the Gala of Hope, we hope to raise at least CHF 7,300, which will cover the training costs of 12 therapists and therapy support for 120 children and their parents in Odessa and Mykolayiv regions.

The Helping Hand International Relief Project will cover more regions with a high density of IDPs, such as Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Odessa, and Mykolayiv.

Within the Gala of HOPE initiative, we plan to raise support to work with children and parents now living in Odessa and Mykolayiv regions that became a temporary home for over 45,000 IDPs. Helping Hand will train therapists and conduct 7 sessions of therapy for children in IDP support centres in Odessa and Mykolayiv.

Helping Hand has already trained two groups of psychologists, social workers and volunteers in Odessa region who will be able to continue working with children and parents.

Within the Project we plan to improve the socio-emotional well-being of 120 children and parents in Odessa and Mykolayiv regions who will participate in psychological therapy sessions and acquire the skills necessary to deal with their traumatic experiences.
