dmitry Khamzin

Dmitry Khamzin is a Russian dancer. Trained at the Prem Ballet School, he began as a soloist at the Stanislavky and Nemirovich Danchenko Theater in Moscow. There he held the title roles in choreographies by John Neumeier ('The Seagull', ‘The Little Mermaid') Coralli/Petipa, (Albrech in Giselle), Pierre Lacotte (James in ‘La Sylphide'), Augustus Bournonville (Gennaro in 'Napoli'), Vasily Vainononen (Prince in 'The Nutcracker') and Valdmir Burmeister ('Swan Lake').

 

 

 

He also appeared in choreographies by Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, and Jarmo El. He was nominated twice for the "Golden Mask" theater prize. After dancing with the Aalto ballet in Essen (2013-2015), he became a member of the Zurich ballet this past season. Dmitry is a gifted dance photographer and has worked on choreographies as part of the young choreographers in Zurich, presenting his plays in Zurich and in Moscow.
